OUR MISSION
The mission of GCOM is to transform lives from defeat to hope, one life at a time. We seek to give each person a reason to believe in themselves (help them to realize and reach their potential). Our vision is to reach the disadvantaged, the homeless, the underprivileged, the veterans, the momentarily incarcerated, and their families. We can provide them with the advice and direction on how to obtain the education needed to enter the job force, referrals to services and job training, and help them to be productive citizens through the use of coaching, mentoring, and our faith-based ministry program.
We believe through love, that very first and basic tenet of Jesus Christ’s teaching, plus support and education that our clients can be helped to reach their goals. We furthermore provide the proper direction and resources needed to help those willing to become positive, successful contributing members of their community, knowing as we do, that everyone is capable, regardless of their circumstance.
• Training in hygiene and grooming.
• Temporary shelter and transitional housing (when this become available)
• Specific skill training and resource referrals
• Faith-based Bible teaching
• Help in managing finances and other living skills
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
